It’s been widely reported that pet adoptions have soared during the Covid-19 pandemic. Since some shelters were forced to suspend spay/neuter services before dogs and cats were released, Friends of Animals low-cost spay-neuter certificate program has been a boon to families across the country who had to get their pets altered on their own.
Since May, FoA has sold close to 10,000 spay-neuter certificates, representing a 30 percent hike in certificates sold during the same time last year.
Our spay-neuter program has long history of being reliable—we’ve been around since 1957—and we are delivering despite a pandemic and struggles within the U.S. Postal Service. For a New Jersey resident who ordered a certificate for a male cat that never arrived, we guaranteed a certificate would reach his veterinarian if a second certificate didn’t reach him. To our relief, he received the second certificate a few days later.
If you have or are considering expanding your family by adopting a new pet, you can order a low-cost certificate on our website right here.
