Like Humans, Wolves Live In Families. Like Humans, Wolves Need Friends.
Wolves display high intelligence, expressiveness, and other characteristics that enable them to maintain sophisticated, family-based social bonds. Without friends defending their rights and interests, the fates of wolves in Alaska, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and most of the Northern Rockies are thrown to hunters, ranchers and federal agents under the "livestock protection" banner.

Friends of Animals: Howling Across America to Save Wolves · Tonight (Friday): Wolf Advocate Priscilla Feral on HLN's Issues With Jane Velez-Mitchell · Rallies and Boycotts of Idaho, Montana and Wyoming · Legal Appeal for Wolves Special announcement: Watch Friends of Animals president Priscilla Feral as a guest of Jane Velez-Mitchell today on CNN's HLN TV (SEE VIDEO), talking about today's DC Rally for Wolves and efforts to halt the killing. To become a friend to help Friends of Animals protect wolves, donate now. In April 2011, the U.S. Congress slipped a wolf de-listing rider into the federal budget bill, yanking wolves from the Endangered Species List in the Northern Rockies-where it's estimated that just over 1500 wolves remain. Said Priscilla Feral, president of Friends of Animals: "Removing federal protection and subjecting wolves to more hunting is unconstitutional and unconscionable."

The Rally for Wolves in Washington, DC today to denounce this underhanded de-listing is the first of many rallies in North America. Members and supporters of Friends of Animals now call for a travel and economic boycott of the states that advocate killing wolves: Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. "We need to put the economic screws to state governments that persecute wolves at the behest of haters," said Feral. Tags are already on sale in Montana for the shooting of 225 wolves; more than 1000 tags have been sold in the first few days. In Idaho, the bloodbath is slated to begin this month - on the 30th of August. Friends of Animals' legal experts are now drafting an amicus brief to buttress an appeal before federal Judge Donald Molloy by Alliance for the Wild Rockies, Friends of the Clearwater and WildEarth Guardians "to preserve both wolves and the rule of law in the Northern Rockies." Time is of the essence. Support our efforts today. If you can do a Howl-In for your city (international support is welcome), email Dustin Rhodes. Everyone can contact the governors and announce your intent to boycott travel in each state for as long as they continue persecuting wolves:

This is heartbreaking and sickening. Why are we exterminating these wonderful beings? We are supposed to be Americans. I am heartbroken. I am sickened by Idaho, Wyoming and Montana.

I think that humankind has destroyed so much of this wonderful world God has given us to care for. This is just another example of how little we deserve to have domain over this planet. Maybe our time to go is here for a reason. How we have failed and continue to fail this world,by demonstrating such disregard for other living creatures who we share this world with.

This is so maddening!! I heard of this for the first time today on CNN. Argghhhh!!!!!!! I have donated to friends of animals and emailed the governors. I will be emailing my congressman and the White House as well. Please do the same! Sometimes I just look at our actions, and have to shake my head. How can people be so blind. It's really sad. I've had enough with this...we're not going to take it anymore!!

How can Congress live with themselves? They are making a mess of the Country, now they want blood also, even if it's from the "Great Wolves of These States".Once they are gone we will ever see them again, like the Dinosaur's but they weren't killed off by humans. They are beautiful creature's of God. Years ago I had a Hybrid dog, part Wolf and Husky, she was a wonderful dog, so I am thinking about this and it pretty much upsets we, that this is happening. Anyone having anything to do with this slaughter should be ashamed of themselves, hope you can live with this.

I want to cry...But, I can't...I have to fight. I'M FIGHTING MAD

Pls feel free to copy this and send it in an email to the three governors. There is strength in numbers. Gentlemen: Are you gentle men or men who would allow the random killing of Wolves? Could you live with your conscience knowing that you allowed the extermination of the closet animal to the tamed dog. The rest of the states are looking at you wondering how this could possibly be allowed by anyone with a heartbeat. If this plan is allowed to be implemented then NO animal is safe in the future. What is next..the Husky??? Governor Butch Otter, do you want to be known and remembered as the butcher of Idaho? Governor Brian D. Schwetzer, do you want to be know and remembered as Brian Death Schwetzer? Governor Matt Mead, do you want to be known and remembered as Mad Meat? Please do not bring shame on your states. Do not allow the extermination of Wolves in your states. Protect America's wildlife..stop the slaughter of Wolves. Show the rest of the states that you can do the right thing. Let the media report that Idaho, Montana and Wyoming will preserve and protect the American Wolf just as much as they protect the American Eagle. They are both part of the American culture. Show the world that you are gentle men.

Save the WOLVES!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been signing every petition since this first came out before President Obama removed them. This is the last straw for me about Ken Salazar. I am going to send a petition to recall and remove Salazar from the Secretary of Interior position since he has done nothing but sold his office for Big Oil and Big Ranchers. He is supposed to protecting the environment and the species and he has done neither. It is about time people spoke up and did something right, like let them know that this is wrong and for the fact, President Obama can be recalled as well. Someone write a petition.

Allowing wolves to be trapped is unusually cruel. Trapped animals die a slow cruel death and often will chew off their legs to escape traps. Absolutely inhumane. Shame on governments that allow such cruelty!
