March for Mustangs Rally
Friends of Animals hosted the March for Mustangs to protest the Bureau of Land Managements round up of wild horses and burros on public lands.
A press conference and rally took place on Thursday, 25 March at 1 pm in Lafayette Square Park, followed by a march to the Department of the Interior building (17th and C Streets, N.W.), where FoA President Priscilla Feral personally delivered an open letter to Interior Secretary Ken Salazar urging him to end the round up and confinement of these animals.

Thank you for the work that Friends of Animals is doing on behalf of the horses!
I especially applaud the fact that you are one of the only organizational voices that is against the sterilization of the horses.

The U.S. can’t necessarily stop the practices of other countries regarding horses and their slaughter but we certainly can stop this cruelty here and act as an example to the world. It is time these animals are protected from harm.
