Like Humans, Wolves Live In Families. Like Humans, Wolves Need Friends.
Wolves display high intelligence, expressiveness, and other characteristics that enable them to maintain sophisticated, family-based social bonds. Without friends defending their rights and interests, the fates of wolves in Alaska, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and most of the Northern Rockies are thrown to hunters, ranchers and federal agents under the "livestock protection" banner.

Friends of Animals: Howling Across America to Save Wolves · Tonight (Friday): Wolf Advocate Priscilla Feral on HLN's Issues With Jane Velez-Mitchell · Rallies and Boycotts of Idaho, Montana and Wyoming · Legal Appeal for Wolves Special announcement: Watch Friends of Animals president Priscilla Feral as a guest of Jane Velez-Mitchell today on CNN's HLN TV (SEE VIDEO), talking about today's DC Rally for Wolves and efforts to halt the killing. To become a friend to help Friends of Animals protect wolves, donate now. In April 2011, the U.S. Congress slipped a wolf de-listing rider into the federal budget bill, yanking wolves from the Endangered Species List in the Northern Rockies-where it's estimated that just over 1500 wolves remain. Said Priscilla Feral, president of Friends of Animals: "Removing federal protection and subjecting wolves to more hunting is unconstitutional and unconscionable."

The Rally for Wolves in Washington, DC today to denounce this underhanded de-listing is the first of many rallies in North America. Members and supporters of Friends of Animals now call for a travel and economic boycott of the states that advocate killing wolves: Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. "We need to put the economic screws to state governments that persecute wolves at the behest of haters," said Feral. Tags are already on sale in Montana for the shooting of 225 wolves; more than 1000 tags have been sold in the first few days. In Idaho, the bloodbath is slated to begin this month - on the 30th of August. Friends of Animals' legal experts are now drafting an amicus brief to buttress an appeal before federal Judge Donald Molloy by Alliance for the Wild Rockies, Friends of the Clearwater and WildEarth Guardians "to preserve both wolves and the rule of law in the Northern Rockies." Time is of the essence. Support our efforts today. If you can do a Howl-In for your city (international support is welcome), email Dustin Rhodes. Everyone can contact the governors and announce your intent to boycott travel in each state for as long as they continue persecuting wolves:

Humans are not the only ones GOD put on this earth, the wolves have just as much right to be here & to live their lives.

We cannot allow this to happen to these beautiful animals. We need to rally together to stop this from happening.

Dear friends of animals, I do not sanction the wholesale extermination of any animal (in this case the wolf)."Weeding" them to A NUMBER arbitrated and agreed to by all parties involved is critical (the Federal gov.,ranchers, and any EPA organization such as " friends of animals").Thank you.

this has to stop now. these hunters wouldn't like it if someone walked up in there homes and just started firing at them and their families. so they shouldn't do it to these poor animals because I know they wouldn't like that if the tables were turned on them and they became the hunted!!!

I speak for many Canadians when I say killing wolves is an outrageous thing to do if this happened to people like in WW2 everybody was shocked and outraged (Not Saying That WW2 Was Less Important Because It Is More Important) but this should not go unanswered killing that many wolves in one city would be like a city wide wolficide (Wolf-Genocide) if I could I come protest too!

let us sale "tags"to each of the gov of these states!! Who whats to be the 1st one to "pop" him off???? Wolves are as near to human family construction.,and it is US that has put them in the position they are in now and they are just trying to survive and feed their family just like we are in these depression days and WHO put US in this situation? The same so called gov that is in office now, oh but I forgot he is not starving.

comments on story about the wolves, yes send our beautiful Canadian Grey Wolves back. The USA government wanted them re-introduced to keep deer and elk herds in control and healthy when yours were all gone. Now they want to cruelly trap and slaughter them, I'm outrage! SEND our beloved Canadian Grey Wolves back!!!!!! please please please

I wrote all three! Maine does not support the killing of the Wolf!

This is a heinous act, shame on those for even thinking about killing these beautiful creatures. We have been waiting for a very long time for the wolf population to be expanded. I understand the need to protect live stock and such, but to kill the beautiful animals God has created, is a crime againist God himself. Every living thing has a purpose, EVEN! wolves. So learn to let go of your stupid need for violence against a living, breathing, feeling animal. "Thru the Eyes of the Wolf you can see the Heart and Soul of all Living Creatures even Humans, so be sure look Deep into the eyes of Mankind", (author unknown). Although these are not my words, whom so ever wrote this statement knew what they were talking about. Hopefully those who have the authority will keep wolves on the endangered lists, otherwise instead a year if not less we could lose an animal that will only live on in legend. I don't know about you; but I know I want my kids and their kids to know the beauty and loyalty of the wolf. Hopefully our prayers will be heard.

I am disgusted. Our American History will soon be only seen in Museums. There will be stuffed animals (wolves) for those who will pay the enterance (sp?)fee. I am from N.E. so I can't vote for or against....but, I am a former FOA affiliate. Tongue in cheek ..for people against wolves...move away.
