This is one of the three elephant seal pups rescued today by Marine Animal Rescue. This young seal has a small, but deep wound around his throat area.

The other seals were very thin, tired and also suffered from some small wounds and lacerations.

All the pups were immediately transported to the care center for medical attention.

MAR conducted 59 marine mammal rescues in April.

I think it's a wonderful thing you are doing for the seals Peter, God Bless You!

You are to be highly commended for your life-saving actions. If I resided near the ocean coastal community, I would gladly volunteer. The "higher powers," will reward you......

Thank you Peter for all you do. How are the seals doing?

that is a sad story! i wish i could HELP! i will pray for the seals!

what a sad situation FoA comments: But what a good ending.

God Bless all of you for the loving care that you provide for these innocent creatures. I work with wildlife that are abandoned, etc., and the fullfillment of being able to help them recover, or survive, is where I find my peace.

Bless you for taking care of those seals. What would we do without organizations such as Friends of Animals. You are thanked and appreciated.

Peter, Where were these seal pups when they were rescued. I would love to be involved or a part of the Marine Animal Rescue efforts.Do you have any information on how I can help? Thanks so much!

They're so cute.
